Brandon Marks 1941 Commercial Truck – Member Of The Month
I ran across this member when he posted a great video of his truck running for what I think was the first time since he got it. It was so great to see a large truck in the group. Below is some information on the truck supplied by Mr. Marks. I hope you enjoy the photos and video as much as I did.
1941 Ford Regular Cab Tractor with Thornton Twin Screw Tandem Axels GVW 29,000lbs Door says “BROWN’S MACHINE SHOP Sedalia MO” purchased from FB Page Killer COE and 1 Tons exactly 2 years ago. Has a 8BA Flathead with 4 speed transmission 2 speed Thornton and 2 speed Axles gives 16 forward and 3 reverse speeds. All new tires, brakes, brake lines 2 axle shafts, 1 drum, all drums surfaced and new shoes and pads for hydraulic brakes. New engine, radiator, rebuilt transmission, newer steering wheel, seat and tank from 47. Axles were filled with sludge that needed scraped out and resealed with new bearings also.. Big hole in passenger floor and new cab mounts really only body work so far.. keeping original and have a guy lined up to fix hood as was damaged by scrap yard stored at prior to my purchase.. even have pics of straight hood.
