This was a new one for me. So I just had to share it. I am sure I’m not the only one that has had this problem. For those still scratching your head wondering what the hell vapor lock is here is a little more info…

Vapor lock is a problem that mostly affects gasoline-fueled internal combustion engines. It occurs when the liquid fuel changes state from liquid to gas while still in the fuel delivery system.
The solution comes from Kevin Brown on our Facebook Group. Kevin had the same issue with his 1939 Ford Flathead. Kevin writes in a response to a member with the same problem. “My 36 acted the same way. Replaced the coil with a new one and was good to go. But the clothespins do work for vapor lock“. Seeing this I had to ask. What do clothespins do to solve the problem. He replied “They act as a obsorber and reduces the heat in the fuel line. I didn’t believe that they actually worked so I took them off. Made it a very short distance and, no fuel. Put them back on and haven’t had it happen since.”
I hope this helps some of you guys.
