Here is an example of the Briggs Body
The best way to tell is to look at the door windows. Ford and Briggs bodies windows are straight across at the top. Murray doors have a slight arch at the top of the window. There are some exceptions though. The Slant Windshield Four Doors made in 1931 had bodies made by Ford, Briggs, and Murray but the bodies were identical and had the arched windows typical of the earlier Murray Four doors. Most Briggs and Murray bodies had a body tag on the firewall. Through the years, many of these are lost, and a replacement body tag could have been (re)placed by the owner.
