When I was working in the speed shop back in the early 2000’s one of the hottest products we had for the Flathead and even for use on Small Block Chevy’s with the Chassis Eng. Kit was the banded Motor Mounts. Many of you have have worked with older Flathead’s know how the stock motor mounts tend to blow out. But with the banded design I have personally used these and they just hold up better. More structure means longer life. Also it does add a little trim to what is normally a rubber brick.
We noticed that this has caught on. Now Bob Drake Reproductions is offering a Banded Motor mount. Any it really looks good.

A motor mount is really a shock absorber and vibration insulator all in one. While ours is designed “Ford Tuff” to secure the motor, it is also flexible enough to ensure vibration free comfort.
